Fall 2018 Fashion Trends - Fabulous Florals!!!

Flowers have been in fashion for over a year now. Last fall it was mostly small floral prints and then in the spring of this year much larger and more tropical florals became the trend. Now for fall 2018 the large prints are still on trend but the colors are the slighted more muted colors of fall.

Below I have paired these fabulous florals with some vintage pieces to show you how vintage can fit in with all the current trends. Enjoy!

The Unexpected Floral

So this is a the cutest little rain poncho with a big floral print! It is such a fun piece and I wanted to pair it with a fun vintage piece as well. First idea, a budget friendly upcycled floral ring that was originally a brooch from the 1800s (click the following to see all our upcycled rings). Second option is more of a splurge but this art nouveau spinel ring goes beautifully with this jacket. To see information on each ring click on the pictures below.

The Essential Pretty Floral

I fell in love with this floral blouse with its soft creams, purples and greens and the ruffling at the neckline, it is just so pretty. I wanted to pair this beautiful blouse with vintage pieces that were just as soft and feminine. First, I chose this stunning amethyst bracelet from the 1870s, it makes a statement without taking over an outfit and is one of my favorite pieces in the shop. Second, is a lovely amethyst ring in a gold filigree setting. It is lace and frilly and pretty just like the blouse. The Evening Out Floral

For an elegant night out this black floral wrap dress is perfect! The floral on this dress is not as large as the other examples, giving it an understated elegance. I had an evening out stuck in my head with this piece so I wanted to add a little vintage style sparkle and shine. First we have a Walborg gold pillow style clutch that instantly adds a bit of Old Hollywood Glamour. Second, I went with some "big bling" with this but a special dress deserves a special sparkle. This is a 1+ carat total weight diamond cluster ring from the 1920s and it is one of our new pieces that will not last long.
