This is a beautiful upcycled ring that was created with two different vintage pieces. The enamel white flower was originally a brooch that had a broken pin and the center rhinestone cluster was originally part of an earring that had lost its mate. I am convinced these pieces were meant to find each other and they look stunning together. Now a large statement ring and WOW will it turn heads.
Size: Ring Face - 50mm Diameter
Markings: Ring Finding 14K/20 - There were no makers markings on the original brooch.
Metal: 14K/20 Gold Filled Ring Blank (GOLD FILLED INFO - I am using gold filled ring blanks to keep cost down and make these vintage creations affordable. Please don't confuse gold filled with gold plated. Gold plated is a much lesser application which can start oxidation (turning skin and ring green) with wear almost immediately. Gold fill has at least 50 times more gold content and last at least 10-20 years before any signs of oxidation.)
Ring Size: Adjustable from US 5-8
Total Ring Weight: 18.2 grams
THE NEW UPCYCLED COLLECTION
All these years of treasure hunting I have had a weakness...I would find all these vintage brooches and single earrings that had incredible craftsmanship and were in incredible condition. From bright and vibrant enamel florals to abstract shapes and beading, to classic pieces from eras gone by, I just could not leave them behind. I would come home from a buying trip with single earrings and broken brooches that were beautiful but unsalable but I could not stop myself. About a 9 months ago I decided that my little treasures were not going to be in a box unseen forever. I started researching different types of ring blanks, adhesives, and soldering techniques. Of course there is no one answer for any piece so above you can find the exact information for this ring.
