About Us


Hi, I'm Lori the proud owner and operator of Scotch Street Vintage and here is just a little bit of our story.



Scotch Street Vintage came to be in 2013 when I was looking for a better work life balance. My mom and I had always loved "treasure hunting" at antique stores and flee markets and inevitably we would find so many incredible things that we would have to leave behind because we had no place for it all and that is when my Mom said "You should sell them". That one statement started the ball rolling and we opened the with vintage home decor specializing in vintage barware and glassware. Researching and learning about glassware styles through different decades like Art Deco and Mid Century Modern led me to a strong curiosity of vintage jewelry, which shared many similarities with glassware.

I did not transform the shop to vintage jewelry over night, I took my time and really learned, I found a jeweler to help me make decisions, and I started collecting. It took about a year until I thought I had a good selection to offer to the public and went live with it. Seven years later jewelry is still our main focus but we have also added retro women's clothing which has been so much fun to pair together!

I'm not sure if my work / life balance is perfect but I can say I love what I do and I can carve out time around all my families needs, so I think it is a win. It is not an easy job but seeing customers find a necklace that reminds them of one their grandmother had, or a couple finding the perfect and unique ring to represent their engagement, the rewards of seeing someone fall in love with a piece I have found makes it all worth it.

Return Information

Scotch Street Vintage does offer returns and exchanges for items returned in the EXACT same condition as they were shipped out. Customer must contact us within 3 days of item being delivered to you in order to receive refund minus original shipping and insurance charges and return shipping costs, which are buyer's responsibility. Item must be returned in original condition, fully insured with tracking and signature confirmation within a 7 day period of item delivery. Return shipping is responsibility of buyer and the tracking number must also be provided within the 7 day period. 

Once a return has been received and re-inspected to assure that it has not been altered or tampered with a refund will be issued.


Layaway Information

I really try to work with clients on a layaway program that works best for them. Sometimes a client just wants to split it up into 2 payments and sometimes they want something more structured like $50 every 2 weeks until it is paid off. I do not do a layaway fee or anything like that but I do charge a cancellation fee of $1/day for every day the item was off the market. Please convo me to set up the layaway that works for you!


Fine Jewelry Information

All fine jewelry has been inspected by a jeweler for the metal quality, stone(s) authenticity, and age accuracy (when possible). I do guarantee the stones, metal and age as stated in the listing. This does not mean every piece comes with an appraisal. Jewelers will charge a minimal fee for an inspection and a much more significant fee for an appraisal. When economical (usually on higher end items) I will have a full appraisal done and that will be included. When this has happened the information will be in the listing.


Ring Sizing Information

I am not a jeweler and I do not do sizing. The jeweler I use for inspections and appraisals has said to always have rings sized in person at a jeweler because you will get the perfect result.

General rule of thumb I have been told by jewelers is sizing can be done 1-2 sizes up or down. If I know a ring absolutely can not be sized it will be stated in the listing.
